I just want to throw it out there. Monday is Justin's birthday. I will be having cake and ice cream for him on Sunday at noon. I know it is an inconvenient time for most, I'm sorry. But please know that you are WELCOME to come by!
I love you!
I realize blog viewing is much simpler without having to sign in each time to view or comment. So I am temporarily removing the private setting for this blog. I am still not sure how comfortable I am with it so I am going on a trial run.

Boyfriends
I promised Katie, I wouldn't tell this story to her Dad, but I made no promises about not putting it on the blog. hehe
Yesterday, I picked up the kids early from school to get their second H1N1 vaccine (all kids 9 and under need two doses). Katie was at recess so it was a bit of a joke to get her. When she finally came down to the office, she didn't have her backpack or anything and there is no school for the rest of the week, so I wanted to make sure and get her things. By the time we walked to her classroom, recess was over.
One of the boys in her class walked up to ask if she was going home. She told him yes and he suddenly gave her a great big hug before walking away. Katie immediately looked up at me with an embarrassed look.
"Katie! Who is that!?"
"Skyler."
"Is he your boyfriend!?"
"No." blush blush blush
"Don't lie."
"He's not!" blush blush blush
"Then why did he hug you?"
"I guess he's going to miss me." blush blush blush
"Katie, you're lying. He's your boyfriend!"
"No, he's not. I promise. I don't have a boyfriend." blush blush blush
"Will you tell me when you do have a boyfriend?"
"Yes." blush blush blush
"Promise?"
"Yes. But don't tell dad." blush blush blush
"I won't. So is he your boyfriend?"
"No!" blush blush blush
"So what am I not telling Dad?"
"That he hugged me." blush blush blush blush blush
Meanwhile, Justin is whispering to her, "Don't tell her! She'll tell Dad!"
Then I get a text from one of her other friend's, Malachi, mother asking if Katelynn could go skating with them. Malachi keeps begging to spend time with Katelynn.

Billboard
So, I haven't actually seen it yet, but guess what??
I'M ON A BILLBOARD!
Pretty crazy, huh? It is part of the American Express Recruitment Campaign from last year.
I am not sure how many there are out there with my mug on em, but apparently there is one at I-15 and 3300 South! I need to drive by to see it, but I just keep forgetting. I'm never in the area!
Update: My wonderful Aunt and Uncle was able to get some pictures of the billboard! They posted them on her blog! Click here to check it out!

Thankful
I am thankful everyday. Yet somehow, I forget to express it. So I wanted to take a moment to express some of the many many blessings in my life that I am grateful for.
First and foremost, my Heavenly Father. I know I don't show it the way I should, but I know that he is there for me. There's nothing quite like unconditional love.
My husband. I really got lucky with this one. It is still so hard for me to believe that it is possible to meet the love of your life at 14 and have it REALLY be true! He is not only a wonderful husband, but a wonderful father and man. I love you, Baby!
My children. I have been blessed with three beautiful, smart, and loving children. Their spirits brighten each and every day.
My parents. I am so proud of my mom. She has grown so much this past year and continues to grow stronger. I love you Mom. And my dad is stronger than he thought he was capable. Things are not perfect between them, but I am thankful that their love for each other is strong enough to be there for each other.
I have to add Shawn's parents as well. They have always loved me as their own and that love is returned just as genuinely.
My sibblings. I am so very very blessed to have such a strong bond with my brothers and sisters, Misty, Dustin, and Mandy included. I love them all so much. They each hold a special place in my heart.
Jennifer - You are my rock. Thank you.
My extended family. I have so many aunts, uncles, and cousins that are so special in their own ways. Time and space does not take any love from our family.
Aunt Donna - I don't know how it happened, but we have always had such a wonderful, beautiful bond. I love you so much.
My grandparents. Each of my grandparents have had such a strong influence on me. I have been very blessed with generious, loving grandparents. I miss my Grandma Francis so much. And of course, I have to give special thanks to my beloved Nana. There is no one quite like her. I love you, Nana. XOXOXO
My friends. Friends have always been a touchy subject for me. However, I have always been blessed those few that are sincere, loving and supportive. It's funny how many of the people in above catagories fall into this catagory as well.
My home. When I first moved into my house 8 years ago, it was just a house. A stepping stone. Now it is my home. I love it.
My job. I am fortunate to have an opportunity to work for and with some fantastic people.
The list goes on an on, but I must stop somewhere.

Lost Tooth
My little man lost his first tooth last night! Now he has that cute little smile! I love it!
I was actually surprised, the tooth was loose but not THAT loose. He asked Shawn to pull it out and with one little tug it was out!
I texted Shawn this morning to see if Justin was excited this morning about the Tooth Fairy visit. He said yes, but Justin was disappointed because the Tooth Fairy didn't give him another tooth! LOL

My Reivew
New Moon did not disappoint. Maybe it's because I had such low expectations after the first one, but after the third time, yes..third time seeing it, I am still in love.
You can read more on my OCD blog!
Only 221 days til Eclipse! I am so excited! Hopefully, it will be even better!
Funny side note:
By Sunday my throat was starting to really get sore. I went into the InstaCare confident that I had strep. Nope. I just caused ulcers on my throat from all of the screaming this weekend! LOL

NEW MOON PREMIERE!
Okay, I am so excited! Tonight is the night!
I am a little sad though...my date got sick on me!
Jenn won't be able to go to the premiere tonight. ::really really sad face::
But the moment people found out I had a midnight ticket...it was snatched right away.
Anyways...I just wanted to give a quick shout out to my sis. I love ya! I hope you feel better! Here's hoping for Friday!

Sick Kids
So my kids are all sick again! It seems never ending!
Tuesday, we ended up taking Ciara to the doctor and it turns out she has strep thoat.
Wednesday, we ended up taking Katie to the doctor and she has it too!
I tried the doctor into treating me for it even though I have no symptoms, but he didn't go for it! LOL I tried to tell him that if someone looks at my cross eyed I get strep throat and I CAN NOT miss my movie this weekend. He just laughed.
So far Justin, Shawn and I are not showing any symptons, but I'm not going to hold my breath!

SEP Conferences
It's that time of year again....
Last night was Parent / Teacher Conference. And like every other time, I am blown away with how smart my kids are!
I don't mean to be a bragger...okay, so maybe I do a little, but WOW!
Katelynn's conference was first. Her teacher told me how wonderful she is and how focused Katelynn is. She is doing exceptional in Spanish. Infact, at that point, her teacher turned to Katelynn and started speaking Spanish...actual Spanish..not slow, not easy, but actual conversation. Next thing I know, Katie is responding back IN SPANISH! I was shocked. Then her teacher started asking her questions in Spanish, what time is it, math problems, those sorts of things and Katie understood and followed her directions! It was crazy! It went on like that for about 5 minutes! I wish I would have pulled out my phone to record it because it was just amazing!
Justin's conference was next. I was really nervous about this one...this is our first real conference since school started.
I had no reason to be nervous. He is ahead of benchmark and is doing fantastic! He is not only smart and willing to participate, but he is helpful! He is starting to read and is able to blend the letters together to make words! He was amazing too! His teacher said he is a model student! That's my boy!
I am so proud of both of them!

Ugh
I am sick. :(
I started feeling it Thursday evening and into Friday. Saturday was awful and Sunday was even worse. Today, the body aches are gone, but now it's all in my head. I'm congested beyond belief with the sniffles, watery eyes and cough. But believe it or not, I was able to drag myself out of bed and into work. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to stay though. I can hear my bed calling me.
I feel awful cuz instead of celebrating Shawn's birthday, he got to take care of me. I was able to muster up just enough strength Saturday to bake him his pumpkin pie for Sunday, but that's about it. Poor guy!
